In this entry we will help you turn on (or off) Black and White only printing on a Xerox Versalink C7025. As of July 2019, this setting is only able to be changed on the local computers printer preference settings. We will be using a Windows 10.1 computer as a reference point for the changing of the Black and White only setting.
LET'S BEGIN!
First things first -

Step 1
On your computer, click the little flag in the bottom left hand side of your screen and press the gear button - or click settings.
Step 2
Select Devices
Step 3
Select Printers and scanners option on the left hand side of the window
Step 4
Click the Versalink you want to change to Black and White Only and Select MANAGE
Step 5
On this new window, now press the Printer Preferences button
Step 6
Select the option for Xerox Black and White
SUPER IMPORTANT NOTE INCOMING
If you don't see this print options for your Xerox Versalink, then that means you do not have the full driver downloaded. You will need to download the Full Driver to unlock these features -
Don't worry - we teach you how to do that here.
Step 7
Click the option for Xerox Black and White - then press OK
There we go. All done. This computer now will print all the documents in black and white only, unless the user selects to change this setting when they print a document using the print dialog button. Sorry folks - no option on the Xerox Versalink to change this globally.
The Xerox Altalink has the option to change to black and white only on the device, not the Versalink.
In Conclusion
Changing your Xerox VersaLink C7025 to Black & White Only printing is simple once you know where to look in your computer’s printer preferences. While the VersaLink series doesn’t allow this to be set globally on the device itself (like the AltaLink series does), these steps will make sure you can control costs and extend toner life directly from each workstation.
